“Beer is the world’s most popular alcoholic drink, and yet it is often taken for granted. It can have as many nuances of color, aroma, and taste as a fine wine, and it is a drink of wonderful, life-enhancing complexity. The better you understand beer, the more you will enjoy it.”
This seems to be an appropriate quote for American Craft Beer Week, which runs May 10th to the 16th. This Michael Jackson (the one who didn’t lose a glove) wrote The World Guide To Beer in 1977 and hosted the Beer Hunter TV series. His work helped create a renaissance of interest in beer and breweries, thereby catalyzing the emergence of the craft beer movement.
